🚀 Profile self-build: Phase 1

Internal tools enhanced to speed up go-live times & enable profile self-builds in Phase 2

Project: 💥 Improve Go-Live Experience Type: 🚀 Feature User: 🙋🏻‍♀️ People + 🧵Internal

Key changes

  1. Centralised internal admin tool for verification/profile building team to speed up workflow and go-live times for new jobseekers using cord
  1. Includes the ability for profile builders to:
    1. Claim profiles
    2. Search names
    3. Filter by go-live status

Why?

Currently, engineers on cord cannot build their own profiles when they sign up, which causes long wait times for profiles to go live and occasionally poor quality information on profiles.

In phase 1 we wanted to improve the verification flow for our profile builders so that in Phase 2 we could incorporate the option for job seekers to build their own profiles.

To that end, we've introduced a centralised section for the TS&S team to manage their workload, which includes sign-ups, verified, waitlist, and decline.

What?

This solution includes enhancements to the admin profile-building process. We've added a centralised section for the TS&S team to manage their workload, which allows them to

  • claim profiles on organic sign-ups, verified and waitlist stages
  • search for candidate names or emails
  • filter by candidates claimed by X, or which candidates are Unassigned.

These updates will hopefully simplify the verification process, and be a stepping stone in improving profile quality, and ultimately improving the engineer experience on cord

How?

A feature owned by Andres (FE), but big contributions from David (CTO) on the Back End, Katerina on designs, and Anna on product testing. A special mention to Riyad & Ania too from the verification & profile-building team for helping us make sure this speeds up the workflow.

What’s next?

Phase 2 to be released next week! Phase 2 will build on the foundations of Phase 1, and gets us to our end goal of enabling new users to build their own profile before they Go-Live on cord. Giving our users more control, and reducing wait-times to go live.
