An improved way to collect company-customer feedback

Key changes

 
  1. PMF feedback survey sending can now be controlled by the Customer Success team
  1. Increased flexibility in how we collect qualitative feedback from our customers

Why?

Understanding our customer sentiment is essential to improving our product. We use Product Market Fit survey to measure this. In the past, we sent PMF survey links to company users through our backend service. We had some basic rules configured but these were blanket rules that did not account for company's individual circumstances.

Additionally, we only surveyed users once throughout their cord usage lifetime. We realized that a blanket rule is not optimal - different companies should be surveyed at different times. Users should also be re-surveyed when they return to cord.

What?

We have released an enhancement that funnels PMF surveys through Vitally instead of our email-sending system. This means that CS now has 100% control over who / when PMF surveys are received.

CS can now use the fields in Vitally to control PMF surveys for companies. The link brings the company user to the existing PMF form, so all our data tracking etc in the background still works the same(p/s: no fancy designs but here's how it looks like in Vitally)

How?

⚡️Lightning work from CTO David, who doesn’t mind getting his hands dirty. One late night and a 24-hour turnaround from requested to released!

What’s next?

The next phase will be to start incorporating our PMF survey into product notifications too to reduce reliance on email surveys. But we’re going to see how this goes first.
