🔧 Sourcing credit handouts fix

Scheduled subscriptions now receive correct sourcing credits

Project: 💳 Pricing Type: 🔧 Fix User: 🏢 Company

Key changes

  1. Sourcing credit handouts are now handled correctly for subscriptions scheduled in the future

Why?

A couple of weeks ago we noticed an issue where if a company gets a subscription scheduled in Stripe they wouldn’t receive sourcing credits in the first month of that subscription. This is a problem for companies who come back to cord or get a later scheduled start date after their first month of unlimited sourcing credits.

What?

We’re now properly handing out sourcing credits for scheduled subscriptions as we should be so we can safely schedule subscriptions again without CS having to follow up after the starting date.

How?

Dedicated work from Marco (BE) helped fix this problem for your users.

Previously we were handing out credits whenever we received a finalized invoice from Stripe that had a billing_reason of subscription_cycle which we receive whenever a subscription cycles into a consecutive month. We now also handle invoices with billing_reason  of subscription_create in case there’s no matching checkout session in Stripe meaning it’s not a first time checkout but rather a scheduled subscription.

What’s next?

With this fixed, we’ll continue our focus on what we can do to help people and companies find the most relevant thing for them on cord. Weighted preferences coming soon.
