🙈 Hide per stream

Key changes
- Introduction of new hiding setting: hide per stream
- Allows company users to hide a profile from a specific stream, instead of across all streams.
Why?
Through speaking to company users, we realised that how the hiding function works on cord wasn’t meeting expectations - and that users wanted more control over on what level profiles are hidden from streams.
Previously, there were two hiding settings:
- Account level: candidates would be hidden across all streams on a user’s account
- Company level: candidates would be hidden across all streams across all users on the company account.
These two settings were leading to missed opportunities to start conversations with people who might be a good fit, as they were being hidden across all streams, forever, either on an account or company level.
We’ve built the option to hide per stream to ensure relevant people aren’t overlooked.
What?
This feature allows users to select from the following three Hide settings (accessed in Settings > Account):
- Stream: candidates will be hidden on a stream level
- My account: candidates will be hidden from your account for all searches
- Everyone: Candidates will be hidden from all team members and searches
The Settings interface has been updated to clearly explain what each setting means. Existing users have been notified about this new feature though an in-app notification.
