The position management view enables companies to manage position activity and controls, all in one place. From the position view, you can now:

  1. Key metrics at a glance
  1. Effortlessly prioritise important actions
  1. Position controls all in one place

Why?

In a recent round of user interviews focused on helping companies deal with a high volume of applications, one of the most requested features was a centralised place to manage positions.

It became clear that this was the case because it is the standard view for ATS’s, LinkedIn and other hiring tools. For many users, cord was hard to use because they couldn’t centralise their workflow around the positions they were hiring for. So here it is!

What?

Companies can now manage all position activity in one place. This means:

  1. Key Metrics at a Glance: You now have all your position data in one place – from the number of candidates per stream to inbound applications and hires – beautifully organised in one place.
  1. Prioritise important actions: Jump on high-priority tasks instantly. See notifications specific to each role and get directly to where you need to be – right from your position dashboard.
  1. Position controls all in one place: Effortlessly modify, close, or change the visibility of your open positions.

Other changes:

We’ve wrapped in a few changes to help make cord simpler to use and less cluttered now we have the position view. This includes:

  1. Paused Positions are now called Closed Positions - this was because the vast majority of positions on cord that were Paused were actually being used as Closed and this language was more familiar to our users.
  1. Other positions (positions you’re not associated to) can now be found in a tab in position view, rather than cluttering your sidebar
  1. Closed positions (formerly paused positions) are now also found under the toggle in the position view rather than cluttering your side bar
  1. Create a position has been moved to the Position Management View

How?

Some typically exceptional work from Katerina saw the user requirements turned into beautifully simple designs. Hasan produced some Back End magic to help us multiple data queries on the page. Andres and Vinu both contributed heavily on the Front End.

What’s next?

This feature is now in every customer account as a BETA. We’ll be adding on a few additions over the coming weeks:

  1. Improved workflow to messages Currently, if you jump to a message from position view, your message filters are stored to just that position. This is not the ideal flow and we’ll be creating a temporary state to ensure the customer’s preferred position selection persists after navigating from position view
  1. Improved load times: Load times when going to messages from position view is currently a bit long/buggy. We’ll be fixing this too!
  1. Spark chart for position activity: A bar chart will be added next to each position to summarise activity over the past month to help lift the page visually and offer more value at a glance
