👯‍♂️ Enriched candidate data

Candidates’ previous experience data has been enriched using third-party database, Dealroom.

Project: Enriched data Type: 🚀 Feature User: 🤝 All users

Key changes

Company size and industries are displayed on the candidate profile.
Company size and industries are displayed on the candidate profile.
  1. Candidates’ work experience is matched with company data on Dealroom
  1. For each experience, the company size and industry is displayed.

Why?

Companies want to be able to filter their streams by industry experience, and by size of the company someone has worked in. In order to do this, we needed to enrich the occupation data on candidate profiles. Not only does enriching the data enable us to build the requested feature (filtering by industry & company size), it opens up a whole range of opportunities to enrich data in other parts of the product.

What?

We have partnered with Dealroom, which is essentially a database of companies with over 2.5 million records. Now when a user is adding or editing their previous experience on their profile, the company will be linked with the company record in Dealroom (as long as it exists in the database). The industry and company size will be automatically completed based on the Dealroom data. Users can edit this if they wish. If the company does not exist, the user can add it themselves, and add the industry and company size manually.

Notion image

Existing data has been enriched where there is a match with a company on Dealroom. When users log back into cord, they will be prompted to review their profile to ensure the data is correct. When new users join, the company will be matched when the CV is parsed, and they can edit this when they are building their profile.

How?

Thank you to David, Asta, Becky, Jiyeon and Katerina for their work on building this feature.

What’s next?

Industry and company size experience is now visible on candidate profiles to companies. The next phase will be to enable companies to filter by this - we’re waiting for the data to build up, and once 70% of occupation data for active candidates has been enriched, we’ll release the filters.
