Why?

We want to give people open access to all the information we can. We believe that informed people make great decisions. Knowing how many applications are pending for a position gives candidates more information that will help them make a decision about whether they want to message about that position, or not. It also makes companies who manage applications efficiently and action inbound message requests quickly look great!

What?

We are now more transparent than ever before to candidates, by displaying the number of applications pending on each position. This enables engineers to know exactly how many people are in the application queue and manage their expectations correctly when deciding to apply to a role. Companies with 0 applications pending & 100% response rate now look better than ever.

How?

Depending on the number of applications, we display the follwing:

If no conversations started: None yet. Be the first one!

If more than 10 pending: More than 10

If less than 10 pending: X pending (including 0)

Thanks to Hasan (BE Dev) for building this feature 🚀

What’s next?

This was part of the Repositioning cord project that took place in Loop 5. With market changes tipping the balance towards inbound applications, we have released features that improve the application experience for candidates. We’ll continue to iterate and think about how we can improve it further, by continuing to be transparent. Any ideas, let us know!
